White Is The New Black!

White color has always been a symbol of purity, innocence, perfection and cleanliness. It's no wonder so many fashionistas opt out for monochromatic outfits: an all white outfit gives you a modern vibe, looks so youthful, fresh, expensive and sophisticated. For some, white may be an intimidating color, but when you pick garments that flatter your body shape, there's absolutely nothing to worry about!

Instead of same old boring dark colors we wear every winter, it's finally time to try something different and dress to impress in all white outfits! You're never too old, your style is never too defined for making slight changes in your closet: who knows, maybe you'll fall in love with a new trend and let it stay in your wardrobe for a while!

Whether you're planning a casual day out, a fancy brunch or a black-tie event, an all-white outfit is always a suitable choice. In case you're intimidated by this monochromatic trend, you can start with different shades of white. Yes, you read it right. Try matching dove, vanilla and dutch white, or eggshell with ivory white, and you'll be surprised how good it looks put together.
And if you cannot commit to the entire white look yet, you can add a pop of color with bright colored or beige accessories. Red lipstick or a lovely nude hat are also great ways to break the monotony of your white look.

You can never go wrong with adding a hint of black to your white outfit in order to add dimension to your monochromatic combination and create a classic b&w  'Chanel look'. Black footwear and a bag in the same color are just the right amount to achieve a classy and polished contrasted ensemble.

Wearing white pants is no longer reserved for summer only, and surely doesn't look that rebellious in winter anymore. However, you should definitely pay special attention to the cuts and fabrics of your white winter items.
  • The fabric of a garment is integral: always go for heavier fabrics such as wool, flannel, tweed, and also make sure to avoid linen, rayon, chambray and other lightweight fabrics as they don't usually work in winter.
  • Match your pants with turtlenecks, woolen, angora and mohair sweaters, blouses, tailored blazers, hoodies... There's way too many options, be creative, let imagination be your guide. After all, one's personal style is a composition of creativity, taste in fashion and imagination.
  • Choose tailored pieces, hard items, and slouchy sweaters if you're wearing skinny white pants. You can never go wrong with a simple white coat or an oversized blazer.
  • Wide leg pants look best when matched with loose knitwear or fitted blazer.

A white coat is something you can get tons of use out of each winter. It's a wardrobe staple, warm and cozy,  also embellishes every winter outfit and is a number one choice as an outerwear for white party outfits.

In the fashion decade when almost everything is allowed, you can even wear it over a blazer and make a statement with layered look.
Faux fur, cape, feathered hem, blanket coat or a simple tailored one: the choice is all yours.

For more formal events or wild nights out, coats are probably the only option if you don't want to catch a cold, or worse, look like a total freak in parka matched with an elegant gown.
Luckily, there is a wide variety of brand names and styles, from high street brands to high class fashion designers, so you should definitely splurge on a good quality coat as you'll be wearing it for many winters and in lots of occasions.

White sweater is probably in every fashion-conscious girl's wardrobe already. If you don't have one, get it asap, as it's sooo versatile, comfy, easy for mixing and matching, appropriate for both day and night outfits!
Some of the most popular ones are mohair and angora sweaters because of their softness, fluffiness and girliness. They can embellish even the most boring looks and turn them into admirable outfits!

Classic wool-blend sweaters are a safe choice for all-white outfits. Of course, you can pick an embellished one such as cable knit sweaters, which can be your best friend when it comes to warm yet polished looks. This basic can look sophisticated and chic when matched with unexpected garments. Team it with a mini/midi cotton skirt and killer heels and you're ready for a fancy gathering!

Gold jewelry and accessories look surprisingly good with all white outfits. Lustrous jewelry make a fashion statement itself and suddenly the whole outfit looks much more refined and luxurious. Whether it's a delicate gold chain, charm bracelets, stackable rings or a big watch, it will make a lovely bit of shine, complete the look without detracting from the simplicity of a white outfit and add texture and glamour without being overpowering.

What are your opinions? Are you brave enough to pull off an all-white ensemble or would you add some colors to it?
